it's been a while

I'm sitting in front of my brother's computer, in the same spot I used to spend hours at, a bit over a year ago. The breeze is familiar. Thoughts wander silently to the past, etching trailmarks, leading back to places that were once loved.

My mind doesn't seem to want to rest. It's both delight, and a wariness that creeps over me, recalling that old creative restlessness. There really isn't enough time in the day (or night). I need a pensieve of sorts, to dig into when things are calm once again. It's the nervous anticipation of being in the front seat of a flux unfolding, and not knowing exactly where it will take you, or when it will end. Possibilities are simply intoxicating.

I like indulging the twinkling lights before my eyes while feeling the upward push of the ground beneath my feet.

The optimism and arrogance (or shall we call it confidence?) it takes to start an organization with some of the most terriffic people you'll ever come across, slowly ferments to a sincere admiration for the people you work with. The broth both gurgles and boils, but truly, what one learns is how wonderful it is to be surrounded by people who are more talented, more intelligent and more disciplined than you. The delight for me here is that I can just be the stubborn one.

New office, new week. New projects. And hopefully, more good news (may 'new' din naman iyon ah).

Thank you to all friends who said prayers for my grandmother and dropped by her wake and her funeral the week before last. Was it the week before last? It feels like longer than that. Anyhow, thank you for your sympathy and condolences.

We now have wifi at home, but for some weird reason, the browser on my mac couldn't access the net. This is terrible, terrible suffering.
