This ad freaked me out. Small copy at the bottom reads "Help dreams come to life. Donate your eggs to an infertile couple."

With the Authoress and the Akafella
At Tita Kneekee's booklaunch at PowerBooks! O di ba, with the prized authoress and the Akafella. That afternoon I met up with Ms. Olive, Paulo and Ria of the old Zobel PPRO notoriety. It's nice seeing how much people have changed, and have stayed the same. I like it when I see changes. Funny though if you look at it superficially--I think I've changed quite a bit since high school. But at this point, with the weight gain aside, I'm back to almost the way I looked then--long hair, ponytail and all.
*****
These days, I always seem to be on the edge. Teeter-tottering on a tightrope of commitments and expectations. I'm still teaching myself to know which ones I can let go of. Liminal, I think would be an appropriate term for my current state. With everything bearing on me, I feel I can snap at anytime. And I actually did yesterday. There are times when my eyes just well up on random occasions. I think I need a shrink. Hahaha. It actually helps to worry about someone else. Sometimes. It helps when you don't think of yourself.Monday, October 17, 2005

Power Plays
it's amazing to see how much
power skips and dances
prances
around the four corners of a table
glances
from the corner of your eye
laughter
makes matters more trivial
than they are--
the giants titter, chuckle,
spurn
and reduce obstinacy to
mere pouting play.
Spacing out during meetings produces poems.

What My Underwear Says About Me (daw)
What Your Underwear Says About You |
You like your underwear to make you feel girlish and pretty. Let's hope you're a chick. You're comfortable in your own skin - and don't care to impress anyone. |
Kulay ng Pangarap
Art with abandon. "Kulay ng Pangarap" was the theme of the activity organized by the UP Special Education Council in coordination with ArtPlay. Roughly 143 kids assembled at the University Hotel to sling paint, listen to stories, sing their hearts out and dance to Spaghetti.

(L) Imagine listening to heavy metal music at the climax of the song. Imagine the lyrics of the song as "aaaaarhhhhtttt, we make AAAARRRHHHTTTTT...rowrrrr roooowwwwrrrr". But no. We were listening to the William Tell Overture and the Sexbomb's Spaghetti. Art explosion!
(R) See our headbands? We are the Darna.
